Blackjack, also commonly refered to as 21, is one of the most widely played casino games in the world. With one of the lowest house edge's and easy to learn rules and strategies, Blackjack is one of the most popular card games for people of all ages. The basic goal of Blackjack is to get the value of cards as close to 21 as possible without going over. While this is the basic concept, a lot of the strategy of the game involves considering the chances of the dealers cards exceeding a value of 21 as well.

How to Play:

Live casino blackjack includes a real blackjack table and actual decks of cards shuffled and dealt by a live blackjack dealer. Banter with the dealer and other players as you wager using the game. The virtual dealer’s downcard is then checked for Blackjack. If there is no Blackjack, the round continues. If the virtual dealer has Blackjack, but you don’t, the virtual dealer’s hand wins. If you both have. Double Exposure Blackjack is a variant of the virtual casino game blackjack in which the dealer receives two cards face-up in part of the initial deal. To maintain the house edge, the payout when the player receives a natural blackjack is reduced to even money from 3:2, and players lose their bets when their hand is tied with the dealer.

In casino Blackjack, each player plays against the dealer. At the beginning of each hand, each player at the table makes their initial bet (ante) and receives two cards from the dealer. The dealer is also dealt two cards. In The Virtual Casinos standard version of online Blackjack, the dealer's cards are dealt with one card face-up and the other card face-down. To win a hand, the player's hand must be valued greater than the dealers at the end of the game. Your goal is to get as close to 21 as possible without going over. During the game you will have the option to hit or stand, even double or split, during your turn, as long as the value of your hand has not exceeded 21. Once the value of your hand exceeds 21, you lose. This is called a bust. If your hand and the dealer's are of equal values once all players have either won their hand, stood, or busted, this is called a push. In the event of a push, the player's bet will be void and his/her money will be returned.

Game Controls:

Once you enter the Blackjack game from The Virtual Casino lobby, you will see the empty table in front of you along with 5 casino chips laid out on the table's border. The value of each of the chips you will see is $1, $5, $25, $100, and $500. Depending on the size of your playable bankroll, you will be able to select the amount you would like to bet on each hand by clicking on those chips. If you would like to bet $40 on your next hand, you would simply click the $25 once, and then click the $5 chip 3 times to bring the total chip count placed in the betting (ante) box to $40. To remove chips from your bet, you simply click on the chips already placed in the betting box and they will be removed and placed back in your bankroll.
(NOTE: you can only remove chips from your bankroll before you have dealt the hand. Once the deal starts, all bets are final.)
There are 5 circular control buttons below the table that are labeled Split, Double, Stand, Hit, and Deal. Below is a brief description of what will happen when you use, and when to use, each of these buttons.
Split: You can use the split option any time when the value of your first two cards dealt are of equal value. Once you split, each of your two matching cards will be separated and the dealer will deal two more cards to you, one on top of each of the other matching cards. Your wager amount will be doubled (the game will automatically move an amount equal to your initial ante from your bankroll to the table) and you will now have two playable hands in front of you. You can then play each hand as a normal Blackjack hand, hitting and standing, unless the cards split were Aces. In that case, you will only be allowed one hit before the game will automatically move on.
Double: You can use the double option once per hand in Blackjack, and only immediately after the deal. When you choose the double option, the amount of your ante will automatically be doubled and you will be dealt one more card. The game will move on without allowing you any other options once this card is dealt.
Stand: To stand, or stay, is to choose to not continue betting and play the hand you are holding. Once you stand on a hand, you will not be allowed any other options and your hand will remain in play as is, awaiting the final results of the table for that game.
Hit: When you hit you are asking the dealer for another card to be dealt to you.
Deal: The button is used to initiate each game of Blackjack. Once the deal game is pressed, the game has started and all bets are on.
Insurance: The insurance option in the game of Blackjack will be offered to you whenever the dealer is showing an Ace as his face-up card at the point of the deal. If you decide to take the insurance bet, you are betting another half the value of your ante that the dealer will have Blackjack (21). If you win the bet and the dealer does have Blackjack, you will double your insurance bet and lose your initial ante, making the total result a push. If you are wrong and the dealer does not have Blackjack, you will lose the insurance bet and continue play with your ante still on the table.
Rules Tab: The rules button is displayed on the left-hand side of the table. This tab will display the basic rules of the game.
Cashier Button: The cashier button will take you to the casino cashier where you can do everything from making deposits and reqesting withdrawals, to redeeming bonus coupons and viewing your account history.
Menu Button: The menu button allows to choose your preferences for the game in regards to view, sound and card speed, and also allow you to view your account history directly from the game screen.
Help: The help button will take you to the RTG Blackjack page where you will be able to find the basic rules of our Blackjack game along Payouts and Point Values.
Back: The back button will send you back to the casino lobby and allow you to choose another game to play.

Game Tips:

Blackjack Tip 1: Following house rules is a great strategy for a Blackjack beginner. The dealer will always stand on a hand of 17 or better and hit on a hand of 16 or lower, while never making any additional bets link doubling, splitting, or insurance. This playing strategy is is the major reason for the house edge. If you follow these same rules, you keep the edge to a mimimum and increase your chances of a successful visit to the casino.
Blackjack Tip 2: Never split 10's in Blackjack. While the idea of getting two hands of 20 may sound appealing, the risk is much greater than the possible reward. While you may not get booed off the table by other players online, it is still a poor practice that is likely to make you the enemy of any player at a live casino table.
Blackjack Tip 3: Always double down with a Blackjack hand of 10 when dealer is showing a 9 or lower and always double down with a hand of 11, no matter what card the dealer is showing. This bet is your chief advantage in the game and, if used properly, is the key bet that will get you walking away from the Blackjack table a winner.
