In Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep, the user must correctly time their button presses in order to perform three attacks and simultaneously cause slot symbols to appear.

Slot Edge (スロットブレードSurotto Burēdo?, lit. 'Slot Blade') is a technique that appears in Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep and Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance. When used, the player must press at the right time to perform three downward strikes and cause symbols to appear. Matching three symbols earns prizes.

Mechanics[edit]

In Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep, Slot Edge is a Basic attack command that takes up one slot in the Command Deck, has a maximum level of 3 and a normal reload time of 10 seconds, and fills up the Command Gauge by 25%.

In Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance, Slot Edge is an attack command exclusive to Sora that takes up one slot in the Command Deck, and has a reload time of 20 seconds. For a short period after using Slot Edge, enemies will continue to drop prizes when hit with the Keyblade. It grants +3 to Strength when attached to a Dream Eater recipe.

Slot Edge is a Basic-class Attack Command that can be melded through seven different recipes, listed in the Attack Recipe.

  • The first recipe can be melded by Terra, Ventus, and Aqua, and is a type F recipe that has a 5% chance of transforming into Ars Arcanum when Ventus melds it.
    • Cura (LV2) + Blizzard Edge (LV2)
  • The second recipe can be melded by Terra, Ventus, and Aqua, and is a type L recipe that has a 5% chance of transforming into Ars Arcanum when Ventus melds it.
    • Cura (LV2) + Poison Edge (LV2)
  • The third recipe can only be melded by Aqua, and is a type L recipe that has a 10% chance of transforming into Break Time.
    • Curaga (LV2) + Focus Barrier (LV2)
  • The fourth recipe can be melded by Terra and Ventus, and is a type L recipe that has a 10% chance of transforming into Break Time.
    • Curaga (LV2) + Focus Block (LV2)
  • The fifth recipe can only be melded by Aqua, and is a type P recipe that has a 10% chance of transforming into Break Time.
    • Curaga (LV2) + Renewal Barrier (LV2)
  • The sixth recipe can be melded by Terra and Ventus, and is a type P recipe that has a 10% chance of transforming into Break Time.
